OK I haven gotten anything done since I posted about the torch. Been busy otherwise. With my birthday on Monday the 23rd(yaay)... My mom bought me something I have wanted for a loong time and would probably never bought formyself. A baby Sulcata Turtle! He is a little bigger than a silver dollar. I have talked about getting one for years and years. I still have to get uv lights and thermometer and stuff for him, (birthday anyone?!). He is happiy cruisin around the tank. I think I had lots of turtle Karma going on too cause I got him settled in yesterday and walked outside this morning to find a tteeeeensy weensy little stinkpot(mud) turtle swimming in my pond, since he would have been bird food pretty quick I have him settled in another tankwith water. So I now have two turtle, one tort that will turn intoa dinosaur (Sulcatas are the HUUGE ones when grown! ) and a little bitty water turtle. Its neat. I have always been a turtle nut! I took the tort out to graze in the grass this morning, and he went to town chowing down on grass. They are grazers that mostly eat grasses in the wild, he knows what he is! I will have to round up some worms for the other one in the morning. Wyatt loves the turtles and tells me "awwwwww baby urles"

Ok so I ran to Lowe's and got the torch... and got rear ended on the way home!
Luckily they just barely tapped us, I have had a harder hit than that loading a trailer onto the hitch. No damaged other than a bent liscence plate on his part, but yikes today is going awefully wierd. I was on the phone with my father in law and sitting at the stop light when they hit me, of course I hung up real quick after telling him someone rearended me. ANNND he had headed out the door and was already on the road to find me when I called him back to tell him I was ok and all was well. He didnt know where I WAS but he new I had just come from Lowes. I'll have to give hima big hug for that. *grin* BUt we arw safe and home and I am hoping I dont blow us us with this new torch! HAHA.
I will check in of course AFTER I fire it up to let you know I am ok.
OK so its hotter than hades and I know its not Christmas but it sure feels like it. I ordered from 4 different places this last weekend and all but one thing arrived today. Thats pretty quick shippig I think, one from CA, one from AZ and another from NM. Pink coral, lava stone beads, my white keshi cup pearls(sooo tiny and just amazing looking!) and silver wire, and solder from Monsterslayer.com. I cant wait to get creative. I'm still waiting on one shipment from Canada of black keshi pearls, but I expect that package to take a while longer though I am waiting impatiently to get my paws on them!
But I havent been totally lazy lately, I was feeling uninspired this weekend and wanted a pair of silver studs to wear and try out... I had the studs made but had no backs so I got to playing around with them and I have made a neat new thing. Backless studs. They hang just right and I have had them in since monday and barely know they are there. Why do you say would I wnt backless earrings? Well I dont wear earrings, the backs start to hurt and after about two hours I have to take them out. I am always on the prowl for comfortable long wear earrings, but havent had any luck. These though I keep checking to make sure they are even there!
Well, rain on my parade, while waiting for those pictures to upload I pulled outmy torch to make some more out of 18G and poof the think died and spewed all the butane out. Thats just crappy. Grouchy but husband is at work ( a stones throw away from harbor freight) but wont run over there and grab me another one. He told me to go to BACK INTO TOWN to LOWES (gas anyone?) grrrr... I really have some stuff to get done so I guess I am off to Lowe's! And of course Wyatt chose just now to fling a box of postit notes all over the living room dangit! What the heck?!!!!!!???
I got a new pair of earrings listed tonight. My Rustic hoop earrings. I like these. I made a pair for me and love them. Light & comfortable. I hate wearing earrings very long, but I forgot I even had these on. I am counting down, I have 5 days until my opening sale ends, I am thinking of marking down the Harvest earrings on clearance. I need critiques! I am lost as to what my pieces need.
But here we are... The hoops.
I have a necklace made, needs to be polished up and photographed tommorow and then be listed. I almost cant bear to list it. So someone better snap it up fast. Of everything I have ever made this one is my favorite.
BUt its late and I'm tired... So off I go.

I'm kinda laying low though, I have been busybusybusy and life is crazycrazycrazy.
Mike bought a small easy set pool that is soo nice when its hot. Tonight I forcast a dip in the pool and no productiveness.... If we ever get home.
Carpooling sucks. There I said it. I LOVE having extra money that we are saving on gas.. But I am tired and it is hot outside and sitting around the shop is now boring as hell.
But Jewelry... I have made some silver hoops, some flower drop type earrings and some little silver studs, I just canst decide if they are public worthy. So I have them hidden away. Maybe soon.
